Subaru WRX 2014 - the fourth generation of the "charged" C-class sedan, presented in November 2013. Compared to its predecessor, the width (1,795 mm) of the successor remained the same, while the length increased by 15 mm, up to 4,595 mm. At the same time, the wheelbase grew by 25 mm, which brought an increase in free space for both front and rear riders.

Significant changes have also taken place with the interior decoration. The car received better finishing materials, and the equipment of the model became less spartan. The center console of the Subaru WRX has two color monitors, in addition, for the first time, 440-watt premium speakers from Harman / Kardon appeared among the factory options.

The power plant is a two-liter turbocharged boxer with a capacity of 268 hp, which replaced the 2.5-liter unit of its predecessor. Peak torque of 350 Nm is available over a wide range from 2,000 to 5,200 rpm. By default, the motor is aggregated with a six-speed mechanics. An alternative to a manual gearbox is the Sport Lineartronic CVT, which replaced the six-speed automatic. The variator has two manual modes. In the first box imitates six, and in the second - eight steps. All “two-pedal” WRXs have a steering wheel with paddle shifters.

From 0 to 100 km / h with a manual Subaru WRX accelerates in 6 seconds, and with a CVT - in 6.3 seconds. The declared consumption with a manual transmission in the urban cycle is 12.8 liters. The appetites of a car with CVT are more modest - 11.9 l / 100 km.

In the "base" is equipped with an all-wheel drive system. Torque distribution depends on the selected box. With a manual transmission, the ratio of thrust between the front and rear axle is 50:50, and with a CVT it is 45:55.

You can adjust the engine operating modes, as well as change the algorithms of the automated box, using the proprietary Si-Drive system.

Serial production of the model has been established in Japan.
