Subaru Legacy - The fifth generation of the model, which debuted in 2009, was built on an absolutely new platform, while retaining the suspension scheme. McPherson struts are used in the front, and a multi-link in the back.
It is noteworthy that the variety of powertrains forced the company to use different types of all-wheel drive systems. Nevertheless, in all modifications, the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles is complete.
The list of power plants consists of three petrol "opposers":
"aspirated" with a volume of 2 liters (150 hp and 196 Nm) - a choice of six-speed "mechanics" or a variator;
"aspirated" volume of 2.5 liters (167 hp and 229 Nm) - only the variator;
turbo unit with a volume of 2.5 liters (265 hp and 350 Nm) - a five-band "automatic".
Cars with manual gearboxes are equipped with a symmetrical viscous coupling center differential. In cars with automatic transmissions, an electronically controlled clutch is responsible for the distribution of torque between the axles.
Ground clearance Subaru Legacy is 150 mm. The model is a co-platform Subaru Outback and released in Japan. Since 2012, the company has begun production of an updated version of the Legacy.
